MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT: 2011 FALL SEASON!

DEAR YOUTH SOCCER COMMUNITY,  2011 FALL  SEASON BECAME A PREAMBLE FOR WHAT A MORE CHALLENGING ONE, THE 2012 SPRING SEASON WILL BE.  AND WITH THIS, WE WILL NEED MORE SUPPORT BY PLAYERS, PARENTS AND VOLUNTEERS. WE LEARNED THAT AS OUR CHILDREN GROW UP, WINNING BECOMES MORE DESIRABLE. THE KEY TO SUCCESS IS TO PRACTICE WITH RESPONSIBILITY, RESPECTING EACH OTHER AND UNDERSTANDING THAT WE ALL ARE VOLUNTEERS. I INVITE OUR PASSIONATE PARENTS TO GET INVOLVED IN ANY CAPACITY WITH YOUR LOCAL CLUB AND EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY OF PROVIDING OUR CHILDREN WITH A POSITIVE FAMILY ,  FRIENDLY AND ATHLETIC ENVIRONMENT. YES!,  IT TAKES TIME AND EFFORT AWAY  FROM YOUR PERSONAL LIFE BUT GIVING BACK WHAT WE CAN, IT IS ALL WE ASK FOR.  OUR ASSOCIATION IS YOUNG AND OUR RESOURCES ARE LIMITED. WE ARE WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES TO CONSOLIDATE SOCCER IN THE OUR AREA. AN AREA ASSOCIATION THAT WILL UNITE ALL OUR NEIGHBORING TOWNS, JUST LIKE OTHER SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS FUNCTION.  WE ARE REACHING OUT TO THOSE PARENTS THAT CAN HELP AT THE BOARD LEVEL TO CONTACT US. OUR KIDS NEED CONSISTENCY IN THEIR PSYCHOPHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT ALONG WITH POSITIVE ROLE MODELING. WE WILL SOON HOST A MEETING FOR Y'ALL WHERE WE WILL PRESENT OUR NEW OBJECTIVE AND FUNCTION. THE NEW UMBRELLA ASSOCIATION IS HERE: UNITED RIVERS YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION HAS STARTED ITS MISSION TO EMBRACE AND TO STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITIES BY MEANS OF THIS EXCITING SPORT. Hi there soccer Moms and Dads,

Welcome to the Flatonia Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) established on August 22nd, 2009 and it is strongly supported by the Flatonia ISD, the City of Flatonia and several businesses and citizens that believe in our effort's  main purpose, which is to serve all children in the Fayette County area and surrounding towns. We thank you for enrolling your children in our youth soccer program in Flatonia. FYSA has registered more than 80 players for our 5th season. We appreciate your confidence in our organization, and we need your support in maintaining the high principles of safety, instruction, personal improvement, and fair play, which are the pillars of all great children's programs. All parents are welcomed to help in any roles that you feel comfortable. We welcome players of all experience levels between the ages of 4-14.  FYSA had a successful 2009 Inaugural Fall season with 120+ registered boys & girls players, divided in age groups: under 6 yrs of age (U6), under 8 yrs of age (U8), under 10 yrs of age (U10), under 12 yrs of age (U12), under 14 yrs of age (U14). Our intention is to  supply you with all the information that you need through this website, so check back often for updates. Should you desire information that you do not find here, please do not hesitate to contact us

Yes, youth soccer is for the children. The peripheral benefits that we as adults derive from the joy of seeing our children enjoy themselves as they participate in a sport that teaches the values of teamwork, individual excellence, effective communication, discipline, hard work being rewarded by success, and yes, the important life lesson of handling disappointments are secondary to the benefits that the children should enjoy.

As the Board of Directors of FYSA, we are responsible for the organizational requirements necessary to provide that every child has the opportunity to play in a healthy and productive environment. Your FYSA Board of Directors will not tolerate abusive or disruptive language or displays of dissent that detract from the enjoyment of the game for you or your children, nor should you. If another adult is becoming too intrusive in the children's game, ask them to take a "breather." Let's look out for one another, and more importantly for our children.

We ask for everyone's help and cooperation in making youth soccer an opportunity for children and families to build cherished memories of days filled with the joys of youth, friends, families, spirited competition and moments that shape and mold our children's character. Our coaches and referees are certified to ensure the laws of the game and the players will learn the game as they compete. The rest of us are responsible to supervise that our children's environment is as great as it can be.

We thank you in advance for your commitment to your children and to all of the children fortunate enough to be playing the world's game.

Respectfully,

FYSA Board of Directors
